Vocational training is a key indicator in our economic system, or to use the words of the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Dr. Schavan: “If you want to be successful in Germany and abroad, you must have convincing knowledge and skills."

Leipziger Messe took up that idea many years ago – and we still attach great importance to it in the events we organize. We are therefore delighted to submit our bid to host WorldSkills 2013 in Leipzig. In cooperation with SkillsGemany, the Federal State of Saxony and the City of Leipzig, we will help organize an exciting competition for all international participants, experts and visitors, and we will
set the scene for an unforgettable experience.
