Why do you participate at the WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 as a ‘Workshop Supervisor’?

I was fascinated by the WorldSkills Competition in London, it was bigger and more exciting as I expected. So it was really easy for me deciding to be part of WorldSkills Leipzig 2013!


What is your job as a Workshop Supervisor?

I am the head of Skill 33 - Automobil Technology. My job is to make sure, that the Competitors will have a suitable workstation for the Competition. This contains to obtain the right tools and stuff needed for the Competition as well as the logistic management.


What are the specific features for your Skill?

Competitors from 35 countries and regions, and one of the largest working grounds at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 - the skill is one of the biggest at the Competition. Furthermore we will work at real cars. This means, we build a complete car mechanic working station in Leipzig. This contains hydraulic lifts, workbenches and toolboxes. Therefore, we create a big visual Competition, for visitors as well as for the Competitors.
